Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) Certification Training
with Woodfords Family Services
As an integral part of the child’s treatment team, a Certified Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) has the opportunity to make an immediate impact while helping a child grow and develop to their full potential. We are excited to connect our communities with Woodfords Family Services for this wonderful ONLINE training program. The online training will equip you to successfully help children who are currently on a waitlist for services. The training will prepare you for employment through local social services agencies. The program can be started at any time and finished at your own pace. Call MCST Adult Ed at 596-7752 x.3 to enroll or for more info. You will complete 12 online modules and 12 hours of live instruction (offered virtually). Once the modules are completed, you will receive free online bloodborne pathogen training and virtual First Aid & CPR training if you do not already possess those certifications. The entire training requirements will take about 45 hours. Assistance with job placement is provided to anyone who completes the program. Assistance with technology may be available. Prerequisites: A high school diploma or equivalency. Proof of education is required. Must be 18 years of age or older upon completion of the course. An administration fee of $25 is required at registration. A reading comprehension assessment is required prior to completing the application, administered through your local Maine Adult Education program. Welding - MIG I - Sept.

This 36 hour course is for students with no prior or little experience in MIG welding. This course will cover shop safety, trouble-shooting problems, machine settings, basic metal joints and how to weld them. Safety is covered in the first two sessions. This course will cover the use of Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides, and Sharing files. Students will need a (free) Gmail account to participate in this class. The first night covers Docs & Sharing Files: How to navigate the Doc toolbar, design, save and recall your documents, all geared to optimal organization and communication, plus Sharing Files: what are the options for sharing of documents as well as good protocol for sharing. We will cover how you and your team (of 2 to 100) can all work from one document. Google Sheets and Slides will be covered on the 2nd class: Google Sheets, the spreadsheet piece in Google Drive, and Google Slides (the feature that allows users to make slideshows for presentations). We will cover the basics as well as copyright permissions; as time permits, other advanced features will be covered.
Machining Part 1 - Oct.

This course is for beginner students. Included is shop safety, determining speeds and feeds, proper use of dial calipers and micrometers, theory and hands-on operation of basic machines found in a machine shop (lathe, milling machines and drill presses). QuickBooks 2021-Basics & Intermediate

This live, instructor-led Intuit-approved course, is a Microsoft Office Suite course using official course material for Windows 10 desktop geared for beginning/intermediate users. Students will learn to navigate one of the most widely used accounting software applications for small businesses. QuickBooks is an enormous aid in paying bills, invoicing, tracking expenses, paying sales tax and creating reports to better manage a small business or company. This course provides the MOS certification pathway (no expiration) for interested students, and they may elect to take the official exam here at our Certiport testing facility, when ready. Loaner laptops are provided for the duration of the class so that all students may have access to a Windows 10 device at home. Excel 2019 - Basics & Intermediate

The official course material approved by Intuit & Microsoft is used in this live, instructor-led certification course using Windows 10 Desktop. Widely used in office settings, knowledge of Excel 2019 will enhance employment possibilities. New users will learn the basic setup and use of spreadsheets and Excel users may use it to refresh their skills. Included are editing and formatting of cells, basic use of formulas, as well as other tools. CNA Certified Nursing Assistant-Oct.

Students enrolled in this Certificate program complete 200 hours of classroom, laboratory, and clinical experience, which meet all state licensing requirements. Upon successful completion of the course and passage of the State Competency Exam, the student will be eligible to enter the healthcare field as a Certified Nursing Assistant under the direction of a licensed nurse. CNC Machining - Oct.

This 21 hour course introduces students to CNC (Computer Numerical Control) manufacturing. Machine functions, tooling set-up, reading machine language, part set-up and machine manipulation will be covered. Basic CNC mill operations and manual programming techniques will be used. Learn the fundamentals of using a vertical CNC milling machine and how to generate a program using basic G and M codes. Upon course completion, students are eligible for employment through several area businesses.
