Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) Certification Training

As an integral part of the child’s treatment team, a Certified Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) has the opportunity to make an immediate impact while helping a child grow and develop to their full potential. We are excited to connect our communities with Woodfords Family Services for this wonderful ONLINE training program. The online training will equip you to successfully help children who are currently on a waitlist for services. The training will prepare you for employment through local social services agencies. The program can be started at any time and finished at your own pace. Call MCST Adult Ed at 596-7752, ext 3 to enroll or for more info. You will complete 12 online modules and 12 hours of live instruction (offered virtually). Once the modules are completed, you will receive free online bloodborne pathogen training and virtual First Aid & CPR training if you do not already possess those certifications. The entire training requirements will take about 45 hours. Assistance with job placement is provided to anyone who completes the program. Assistance with technology may be available. Prerequisites: A high school diploma or equivalency. Proof of education is required. Must be 18 years of age or older upon completion of the course. A reading comprehension assessment is required prior to completing the application, administered through your local Maine Adult Education program. Students enrolled in CRMA programming who take the CASAS math assessment and need math skills improvement will receive additional math intervention to boost skills.
CRMA Recertification-Summer 2023

This is the 6 hour recertification exam for the CRMA whose certificate is still current. It includes a brief review, presented by the instructor. Plan to study on your own to ensure successful relicensing. Current CRMA holders must provide copy of valid certificate. Call 596-7752 extension 3 to register.
CNA Certified Nursing Assistant-Summer 2023

Students enrolled in this certificate program complete a minimum of 130 hours of classroom, laboratory, and clinical training, which meet all state licensing requirements. Upon successful completion of the course and passage of the state competency exam, the student will be eligible to enter the healthcare field as a Certified Nursing Assistant under the direction of a licensed nurse. Class size is limited so applying early is advised. Funding opportunities are available through the Pen Bay Apprenticeship Program's "Earn While You Learn" option, as well as several other programs. Prerequisite: high school diploma or equivalent. Contact Adult Ed for an application. Depending on funding source, additional charges may apply.
Certified Residential Medication Aide (CRMA) Summer 2023

This 40-hour CRMA course includes classroom training, with clinical available after successful completion of classroom. All students must complete clinical, either with our instructor or arranged through your facility. Successful students will be certified to administer oral medications to residents in state-licensed assisted living facilities. Clinical component is an additional $125 if done with MCST instructor.
