This class is designed to aid you in saving, filing and retrieving your documents. This is recommended for all user levels, is needed for most office applications, and is not exclusive to the Google Drive. If necessary, this class can be presented via Zoom.

What is compost and why is everyone making it? Maybe you have started but have questions. What system will work best for you? How do you manage a compost pile? What is compost good for? How do you apply it? These questions and more will be discussed.

Maine can be a challenging place to garden. Our season is short. Our soil is questionable. If we didn’t have rocks, we wouldn’t have anything to stand on! Still, Maine is a wonderful place to garden. Come to this class to learn what we can grow and when, where many resources are, how to get a soil test and what gardening by the sea is like. Learn about our native plants, weather cycles, soils, pests, and local resources. It will be a good place to start, so bring your questions!

Participants in Pine Tree Education's interactive class will learn to confidently provide care for Adults/Children/Infants who have experienced a sudden illness or injury until Emergency Medical Services arrive and take over care. Following national Emergency Cardiac Care guidelines, revised during the COVID pandemic, students will learn to recognize a heart attack, and each will work on their own manikin to learn CPR and use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Students will learn how to recognize stroke, and care for breathing emergencies, such as asthma, and choking. First aid skills include the care for burns, bleeding, and other injuries. Instructor looks for attainment of skill level as each skill is taught without a formal testing situation. Optional written tests are available, at no additional cost, but not required for certification. Nationally Recognized Certificate and Ready Reference Cards included.

In this live presentation by Jeanne McIntyre, a certified (State Health Insurance Assistant Program) SHIP Counselor, you will be provided unbiased information regarding Medicare, Medicare prescription drug coverage, Medicare Advantage plans, Medicare Supplemental plans, and tips on how to save money, avoid paying penalities and how to navigate through the process with more confidence to make an informed decision.
