Mid-Coast School of Technology Adult Education

This class, offered via Zoom, is a jumping off place for students interested in drawing the human form. Students will explore various techniques for developing their skills in drawing portraits. Quick gesture drawing and painting to more methodical and procedural in-depth drawing techniques will be explored. A fresh approach to create interest and narrative to work. Learn how to incorporate human figures in your work. Materials: 18x24 pad of newsprint or drawing paper, 9x12 pad of drawing paper, school grade Ticonderoga 2b pencil, and other soft pencils if you have them, a few brushes and some ink or watercolor paint, ruler, other drawing materials if you have them, i.e. charcoal, or oil pastel may be used, but are not mandatory.
