The student who successfully completes this 90 hour course is eligible for original issuance, renewal, or reissuance of a license as Master of Steam or Motor Vessels of Not More Than 100 Gross Tons. The three modules for completion of the Masters course are Rules, General Subjects, and Navigation. If taken in combination with the concurrent Able Seaman training the cost for both certifications is $1,380.

Students taking this USCG approved course must hold a 100 Ton Masters license or course completion certificate issued within the last year. All testing will be done on location and most exam material will be covered in class. The exception is the Navigation Practical and Rules of the Road exam.

Each student is responsible for preparing for the Navigational Practical and Rules of the Road exams outside of class.
