Basic Chainsaw Maintenance

Do you want to take better care of your chainsaw, but don’t know how? This new course, offered by Angela Mellon, a Stihl Silver-Level Service Technician, covers the basics of maintenance and preventive care. Participants will have the chance to perform a basic tuneup, sharpening, and replacing the chain, as time permits. We will also discuss using the right fuel and oil for your saw. Bring your questions! We will not be starting saws or cutting in this class, however. Prerequisite: This class is appropriate for anyone who already knows how to start a chainsaw. Please note that students are responsible for supplying the following items in order to perform a tuneup and sharpening on their saw. Different saws require different sizes/styles. Any shop that works on saws should be able to sell you the correct parts:Gasoline-powered chainsaw, round file, flat file, fuel filter, spark plug, air filter, scrench, eye protection, work gloves (ex. Nitrile covered fabric).

Master Plumber Mike Kee demonstrates how plumbing works in a home, discusses preventative maintenance, and shows you how to tackle common problems and make simple repairs. He will reveal how to install or fix faucets, repair a toilet, clear drain clogs, sweat a pipe, determine what type of piping and fittings to use for specific projects, and when to call a professional. The class will also cover student questions and topics.

QuickBooks 2021-Basics & Intermediate

This live, instructor-led Intuit-approved course, is a Microsoft Office Suite course using official course material for Windows 10 Desktop geared for beginning/intermediate users. Students will learn to navigate one of the most widely used accounting software applications for small businesses. QuickBooks is an enormous aid in paying bills, invoicing, tracking expenses, paying sales tax and creating reports to better manage a small business or company. This course provides the MOS certification pathway (no expiration) for interested students, and they may elect to take the official exam when ready. Loaner laptops are provided for the duration of the class so that all students may have access to a Windows 10 device at home. Introduction to JavaScript in Web Browsers

This is a two-day, in-person workshop on how to build interactive websites using JavaScript. No prior programming experience is required. On the first day, we will cover the basic tools of web programming. Day 2 will find us putting these concepts together. We will make a simple Frogger-like video game, and students will have a basic understanding of the programming concepts necessary to make a simple video game in a web page. Students should bring their own laptop with Firefox, Chrome, or Edge web browser. A loaner device is available, though not preferred.

In this Zoomed presentation by Brooke Jansen, you will be provided information regarding Medicare, Medicare prescription drug coverage, Medicare Advantage plans, Medicare Supplemental plans, and tips on how to save money, avoid paying penalties and how to navigate through the process with more confidence. Before the class, you’ll receive the supporting information to follow along (and for your future reference.) We will cover some basic folding, sewing and gluing techniques and then move on to an exploration of book forms—bringing artwork and possibilities for content into our work. Excel 2019 - Basics & Intermediate

Widely used in office settings, knowledge of Excel 2019 will enhance employment possibilities. New users will learn the basic setup and use of spreadsheets and Excel users may use it to refresh their skills. Included are editing and formatting of cells, basic use of formulas, as well as other tools. This course provides the MOS certification pathway (no expiration) for interested students, and students may elect to take the official exam when ready.
